From a Series: Eight Scenes of Cherry Blossoms – Sakura Hachidai, pre-WWII, c.1935. Hiroshi was a 20th C. Japanese painter and woodblock printmaker, regarded as one of the greatest artists of the shin-hanga style, noted especially for his excellent landscape prints. The New London Postcard Project, an ongoing community art project and fundraiser for New London Landmarks and New London Maritime Society is also exhibited.
