Food Stroll Spring 2019

Studio 33 Art & Frame Gallery is celebrating New London Food Stroll Spring 2019 tonight at 5:30 to 8:30. Sara Munro will be offering her famous Mojito Green Tea Punch and Lisa Argilagos of You Take The Cake is offering Citrus Shortbread! View the current Breath of Spring exhibit – the work of local artrists Robert J. Hauschild and Liz McGee. The exhibit includes a sizable rendering of historic Union Station, the last and largest railroad station designed by famed architect H. H. Richardson, and his best according to biographer Henry-Russell Hitchcock; and an Ocean Beach scene, both in acrylic. There is also a view of the historic Winthrop Mill or Old Town Mill, at Briggs Brook, on Mill St., in watercolor. The show will run through May 25, 2019, but you can only get the incredible combo of Sara’s Mojito Green Tea Punch and Lisa’s Citrus Shortbread by being downtown tonight! See you there New London!

Breath of Spring

Breath of Spring Exhibit at Studio 33 Art & Frame Gallery. Familiar views of New London, CT by local New London artist Robert J. Hauschild. The exhibit includes a sizable rendering of historic Union Station, the last and largest railroad station designed by famed architect H. H. Richardson, and his best according to biographer Henry-Russell Hitchcock; and an Ocean Beach scene, both in acrylic. Studio 33 Art & Frame Gallery presents Art For The Holidays Six local, award winning artists are featured in the show including abstract expressionists Diane Brown and Mark Patnode; and landscape painters Robert J. Hauschild, Ralph Acosta, and Liz McGee, and Chinese Watercolor Painter Juner Zhai. Owner Sara Munro is also pleased to present an excellent opportunity for a collector to purchase a stunning collectible with excellent provenance and original framing with finished corners: Hirosaki Castle, Hiroshi Yoshida (1876-1950, Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan). From a Series: Eight Scenes of Cherry Blossoms – Sakura Hachidai, pre-WWII, c.1935. Hiroshi was a 20th C. Japanese painter and woodblock printmaker, regarded as one of the greatest artists of the shin-hanga style, noted especially for his excellent landscape prints. The New London Postcard Project, an ongoing community art project and fundraiser for New London Landmarks and New London Maritime Society is also exhibited.
