Studio 33 Offers Discounts to Coast Guard Families

Sara Munro, Owner of Studio 33 Art & Frame Gallery recently appeared on WTNH 8 in a segment about local businesses giving special offers to Coast Guard families.

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) – There are several items in Studio 33 which embody New London. One in particular could have more meaning now.

“Looking at a pewter whale tale ornament,” said Salon 33 owner Sara Monro. “That was especially designed for New London because we are the whaling city.”

Monro thought it would be fitting to offer a discount on that ornament as well as on a pewter whale tale necklace to Coast Guard families during the government shutdown.

“We do a lot of business with the Coast Guard people,” said Monro. “They’re great folks and they secure our borders.”

She is showing her appreciation with a 40 percent discount on the items at Studio 33 which will be celebrating its 40th anniversary in New London this spring.Follow this link to News 8 WTNH.com to see Tina Detelj’s local news report with video: https://www.wtnh.com/news/connecticut/new-london/local-businesses-offer-discounts-to-coast-guard-families/1696365552
